This is a color sketch for The Accords commission! It was a pretty specific image that I needed to work with, and this was probably my third and best take on it. It still required the protagonist to be shifted up, and I put more emphasis on the silhouettes in the final version. But I solidified the color scheme here, since grungy alleys are surprisingly difficult to get right!
The Accords, 14inx20in, watercolor and gouache.
I finally finished a watercolor commission that I’ve been working on for months! Dirty walls are difficult to paint.
This will be a wraparound cover for a self-published novel that a friend of mine is writing, called The Accords. It is a modern fairy tale with a thoroughly sassy protag who causes a lot of her own problems, and I’m super excited for him to finish it! Best of luck, B!
I don’t think I ever posted this so it’s a few years old, but it was part of some Freehold panels for class that I never quite finished.
Telling stories has always been a huge part of Freehold, and who did the telling was the most important, since it formed the shape of the story! Literally here, with the dragon as the word bubble. Acrylic on shaped art board.
HERE’S THE BIG THING I WAS WORKING ON! An 11x15 dinosaur tea party for Thésaurus Tea! I love these dinos so much, and their body language and expressions are so much fun. Drawing all those details took forever, but it was so worth it!
Maybe one day it will be a print. 3)c
Five minute Post-It Note doodles. Hands?????? More like no thank you.
There are some kingfishers that live in the park near my house. These ones are in gouache, on a brown paper bag. What handsome, silly birds!
Some doodles of a cleric and her loving paladin-dad. uvu
